The drug "Fumisan" is a medicine for bees. One of the means of beekeepers in the fight against the varroa mite, has a fumigant and contact acaricidal effect. In Russia, many beekeepers have long appreciated the strengths of this drug and its effectiveness in its work. The convenience of use is due to the minimal cost of working time in the labor of installing two strips in the hive. The drug has received excellent results and reviews from beekeepers for decades of use in apiaries in Russia. Release form The drug "Fumisan" (Fumisan) is available in the form of thin strips of wood, the size of 200*25*1 mm, impregnated with acaricide solution. The active substance is fluvalinate. fumisan Pharmacological action The drug has a fumigant and contact acaricidal effect against Varroa jacobsoni mites. Instructions for use and dosage of the drug "Fumisan" Bee colonies are treated with the drug "Fumisan" in early spring (after the first inspection of the families) and in autumn (after pumping honey) by placing strips of the drug inside the hives at the rate of 1-2 strips on 7-12 nest frames. For small families (up to 6 frames), layering and nuclei, 1 strip is enough. Before use, it is necessary to make a hole at one end of the strip (with a blunt metal punch or a stationery hole punch), thread a metal or wooden hairpin through it and fix the strip vertically exactly in the center of the street (in its middle part) between the two frames of the bee nest. In a weak family, 1 strip is suspended between 3 and 4 hundred frames; in a strong family, 2 strips are suspended between 3-4 and 7-8 frames. Strips are left in families for a period of 3 to 25 days, depending on the amount of printed brood.
